Artist Tim Breaux – What is it about a painting that moves us?  For me, something in me stirs when an artist whispers in my mind, “This is our experience, you feel it too”.  It is the connectedness to the subject and the experiences of those artists when they were painting.  It is the subject and color and light elevated to a message of awe or mood.

The “wow” moments when I view God’s creation are the reason I paint.  It is very gratifying when a viewer connects to my experience through a painting.  If they can share that experience, if I can whisper in their mind so they feel it too, if they say, “wow”, then I have accomplished my goal.

Surprisingly, a few people have told me this painting makes their mouths water.  That was a completely new concept for me.
